“This Is The Time”
Good Shepherd M.B.C.
Greetings,
I greet you all in the matchless name of our Lord and savior Jesus the Christ. I pray that this letter finds everyone well and in the will of God. I’m grateful to God to lead such a wonderful Church. As we go away for a much needed time of rest, relaxation and restoration. I pray that we all will evaluate our walk with God and our commitment to the will of God. With so much devastation and destruction emerging in our society and across this world we need to be vigilant regarding the cause of Christ. As I seek God for words of wisdom and direction for our congregation I recognize that it will take us individually to do our part, with that individual effort contributing to the whole we as a body will go higher in the plan of God. The power of God is so magnificent that eyes have not seen nor ears heard what God has in store for those who love Him and are willing to sacrifice for His kingdom. I am burdened with the message of God and I pray that all will heed the call of inclusion and pray that you are willing to take this ministry to higher heights, “Together we shall build”. The question is, What shall we build?
We must build the mind?
Let this mind be in you which was in Jesus Christ. (Phillippians 2:5). What must we do with the mind?
Build the mind to think more like Christ, Build the mind to act like Christ, Build the mind to employ the will of God.
We must strengthen the body
But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. (1 Corinthians 12:18)
It’s incumbent of every member to do what they can within the body to please God. What pleases God? Our commitment to Him. Our praises to Him. Our sacrificial offerings to Him. Our unfailing tenacity to be a witness for Him. Our Love for His Church. My brothers and sisters I believe we all can do more to strengthen our individual body and commit to serving within the Church body.
We must strengthen the Soul?
For as a man thinketh in his heart so is he……Proverbs 23:7
What’s in our heart, are we consumed with doing the will of God? Are our thoughts constantly on the mandates of the Lord?
My brothers and sisters where do we go from here? The only response is build, build our inner person to think and do what Christ did. That’s why Jesus said “I must work the works of him that sent me while it is day the night cometh when no man can work. It’s time to work like never before, for its getting late in the evening of our lives and what legacy will you leave. We must build the body physically to be prepared for this work. Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with all thy might;…Ecclesiastes 9:10a
We must connect the soul
The psalmist said, as the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: Psalm 42:1-2a
Let us all take time to reflect, recharge, rekindle and restore or ignite a flame within to burn, be on fire for the Lord. Together we can, Together we will, Together with God we shall. Let’s rise from the muck and myrrh and build something great for God. No matter how old or how young we all have a part to play in building the kingdom. Let us all consider these words and this appeal, time is fleeting us and the time is now for us all to get busy. I sound the clarion call for all to search yourself and seek God that we will be attentive to the heed and to the work at hand. The time is now what are you willing to do?
To build this Church it will take your Time, your talents and your treasure. For where you invest your treasure your heart will be and your commitment of time will be also.
May the grace of God be with us all, may His peace magnify within thine heart, may his spirit dwell richly within. Peace
